A comfort food classic, Salisbury Steak! Easy and perfect over mashed potatoes, noodles or rice. Rich creamy gravy with onions, mushrooms and tasty moist seasoned ground beef.

Directions
Make meatballs: In a large bowl combine ground beef, 1 egg, 1/3 cup breadcrumbs, 1/2 medium yellow onion grated, 1 teaspoon of thyme leaves, 1/4 teaspoon paprika, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon celery salt and 1/4 teaspoon mustard powder. mix with your hands just until combined. Form into 5 inch by 3 to 3 1/2-inch steaks. Heat steaks in a large pan on medium heat for 7-8 minutes, remove from heat and set aside. Don't wipe pan, use to make gravy.
In the same pan used to cook steaks, add 1 tablespoon of butter, minced onion and mushrooms sauteing until cooked. Remove onions and mushrooms from pan and set aside.
Make gravy: add 2 tablespoons of butter to the same pan used to make steaks and sauté onions and mushrooms, whisk in 2 tablespoons of flour cooking for about a minute. Next add in 1 cup beef broth, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon of tomato paste, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon of thyme leaves, 1/2 teaspoon of Dijon mustard and ground pepper to taste, whisking until slightly thickened. Add in heavy whipping cream. Stir until combined.
Add mushrooms and onions back to the gravy and stir. Gently add steak to the pan and finish cooking about 5-8 minutes.
Plate dish and serve over mashed potatoes, noodles or rice. Sprinkle with a pinch of fresh chopped parsley. Enjoy!
