Festive caramel apple pecan cake!

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9X13 inch pan. Peel, core and finely chop apples and roughly chop pecans.
In a medium bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt, sugars, cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside.
In a large bowl whisk eggs until pale yellow. Next add in oil and vanilla.
Slowly add flour mixture to egg mixture. Mix just until combined.
Next add in apples and pecans mixing until combined.
Pour cake batter into prepared baking pan. Bake for 45 minutes rotating at least once during baking time. Bake until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
10 minutes before cake comes out of the oven make caramel glaze. In a saucepan on medium high heat combine 1/3 cup butter, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream or half and half and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil whisking constantly.
Remove from heat and pour over hot cake.
Allow cake to completely cool before serving. Enjoy!
