Delicious chunky, meaty sauce! A crowd pleaser!
Ingredients
Directions
Finely dice raw bacon. In a large pot or Dutch oven combine ground beef and diced bacon cooking on medium heat until browned. Set meet aside and save pan juices.
Dice carrots and celery and add them to the pot the meat was cooked in. Cook for a few minutes. Add a tablespoon of olive oil if needed.
Add onions and mushroom to the pot and sauté.
Add meat back to the pot, then add red wine cooking for a few minutes.
Add broth, canned tomatoes, garlic, salt, oregano, basil, rosemary, thyme, brown sugar, tomato paste, milk, Parmesan cheese and stir until combined. Bring to a light boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for at least an hour stirring occasionally. Add pepper to taste.
When sauce is close to being done, boil pasta according to instructions on package.
When pasta is done drain and toss in sauce.
Plate pasta adding another ladle of sauce on top. Garnish with parsley. Enjoy!
