    Directions

Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to make something sweet, simple, and a little extra special, and these chocolate‑covered strawberries check every box. Juicy berries dipped in silky melted chocolate feel instantly romantic, and the fun really begins when you customize them with your favorite toppings. Whether it’s festive sprinkles, chopped peanuts, coconut, or a mix of all three, each strawberry becomes its own little love note—personalized, playful, and made exactly the way you like it.

    Step1

Prep your strawberries: Wash them well and dry them completely — even a little moisture will keep the chocolate from sticking. Line a baking sheet or your countertop with parchment paper so the dipped berries have a place to set and harden. Prepare your toppings by finely chopping the coconut and peanuts and placing all your decorations in small bowls for easy dipping.

    Step2

Melt the chocolate in separate bowls. Use any chocolate you enjoy — brands like Nestlé or Ghirardelli melt smoothly and are easy to find. Microwave the chocolate for about 1 minute, stir, then heat in 20–30-second bursts until completely melted and smooth. If the chocolate begins to firm up while you’re dipping, warm it again in short intervals until it loosens.

    Step3

White chocolate can be a little trickier as it is more delicate, so melting wafers or Nestlé’s Premier White Chips work exceptionally well. White chocolate melts beautifully in the microwave as long as you treat it gently. A slow, controlled approach works best. Place the white chocolate in a microwave‑safe bowl and heat it at 50% power for about 10–15 seconds. Stir thoroughly, even if it looks unchanged, because the heat distributes unevenly. Continue microwaving in short 10‑second bursts, stirring after each one, until the chocolate is mostly melted. At that point, stop heating and let the residual warmth finish melting the remaining pieces as you stir. Keeping water away is essential, since even a tiny drop can cause the chocolate to seize and turn grainy.

    Step4

Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off the bottom of the berry and back into the bowl before placing it on the parchment to set.

    Step5

While the chocolate is still wet, add your toppings of choice so they stick—sprinkles, chopped peanuts, coconut, or anything you love.

    Step6

Add decorative stripes by dipping a spoon into the melted chocolate and drizzling it back and forth over the strawberries in thin, quick motions.

    Step7

To create the marble effect, finish all your other designs first. Then drizzle a little melted white chocolate into the bowl of melted chocolate and gently swirl it once or twice. Dip a strawberry and rotate it through the mixture until the marbled pattern appears, then place it on the parchment to set.

    Step8

Allow the strawberries to fully harden in a cool spot until the chocolate is firm and set.

    Step9

    Enjoy!❤️
