Delicious fruit salad with banana, pineapple, coconut, grapes, oranges, marshmallows, almonds, and honey Greek yogurt!

Ingredients

    Directions

This Ambrosia recipe is my mom’s, made with pineapple, bananas, red grapes, coconut, almonds, mandarin oranges, marshmallows, and honey or vanilla yogurt. It’s a fresh, creamy fruit salad that’s easy to make and perfect for holidays, potlucks, or any time you want something sweet and nostalgic. Ambrosia first appeared in American cookbooks in the late 1800s as a simple mix of oranges, sugar, and coconut. By the early 1900s, it had evolved into the creamy, fruit‑filled version many families enjoy today.

    Step1

In a small dry pan over medium heat, toast ¼ cup of slivered almonds until lightly browned, about 4–5 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow them to cool completely.

    Step2

In a large bowl, combine the drained mandarin oranges, drained pineapple, chopped banana, grapes, marshmallows, toasted almonds, and coconut.

    Step3

    Gently stir everything together.

    Step4

Gently stir in 1 cup of honey Greek yogurt or plain vanilla yogurt until everything is evenly coated. Chill or serve.

    Step5

    Enjoy!
