This is an easy delicious salsa recipe that I have shared with my neighbors and family members and they love it, I hope you will too! A lot of my ingredients come from my garden when at all possible. I have canned this recipe many times and I never seem to have enough! I also put a cup of this salsa in my firehouse chili recipe as it gives it such great flavor!

    Directions

Equipment needed: Blender This is an easy delicious salsa recipe that I have shared with my neighbors and family members, and they love it, I hope you will too! A lot of my ingredients come from my garden when at all possible. I have canned this recipe many times and I never seem to have enough! I also put a cup of this salsa in my firehouse chili recipe as it gives it such great flavor!

    Step1

Add ALL ingredients to the blender including whole blackened and stemmed jalapeño’s. Cut the stem end of the jalapenos off after blackening prior to blending. Pulse the blender until desired consistency is reached.

    Step2

Pour contents of blender into a large sauce pan over medium heat. Once salsa is hot reduce to a simmer on low for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Chill in the refrigerator and enjoy!

    Conclusion

I have found that blackening the jalapeños gives the salsa a hint of smokiness as well as flecks of color from the char.
