Southwest Barbecue slow cooked pulled pork sandwich with crunchy French-fried onions and bread and butter pickles! Easy dish packed with flavor!
Ingredients
Ingredients for Southwest Seasoning (optional)
Directions
Equipment needed: slow cooker
Cut Roast in 2 pieces and trim any large fat caps. Rub meat with southwest seasoning. Southwest seasoning recipe provided above if needed.
Mix 1 cup of barbeque sauce with liquid smoke. Pour half a cup of the sauce in the bottom of slow cooker. Then pour 1/2 the minced onions on top of the sauce. Place meat in the slow cooker next. Pour the rest of the sauce on top of the meat and the rest of the onions. Cook on low for 6-8 hours till meat is melt in your mouth tender.
Once the meat is done, remove from slow cooker, allow to slightly cool, then pull apart. Remove any excess fat and return meat back to the slow cooker. Heat through and serve on rolls with French fried onions and bread and butter pickles. Enjoy!
