A delicious creamy tomato sauce with great flavor!
Ingredients
Directions
In a large skillet on medium heat add olive oil, butter, garlic and shallots. Boil pasta according to instruction on package.
Sauté until shallots soften. Add vodka and cook for a few minutes.
Next add chicken broth and tomato puree. I rough chopped some San Marzano tomatoes from our garden and blended them in the blender to make the puree in the photo's, canned puree is also perfectly fine. Stir until everything is combined.
Next reduce heat to a simmer and add cream, salt and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 12-15 minutes while sauce thickens.
Remove from heat and add in parmesan cheese and stir till combined. Drain pasta and toss with vodka sauce.
Serve with more parmesan cheese and fresh cracked pepper. Enjoy!
