Delicious, gooey melted cheese, savory parmesan, and the sweet, mellow touch of roasted garlic.
Ingredients
Directions
Roasted garlic cheese bread is a tasty treat on its own or paired with marinara dipping sauce. It’s perfect alongside a hearty plate of pasta or a refreshing Caesar salad. The gooey melted cheese, savory parmesan, and the sweet, mellow touch of roasted garlic bring incredible depth to this recipe, and it’s so simple to prepare!
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Slice whole garlic heads in half horizontally.

Lay each garlic head on its own sheet of aluminum foil. Drizzle with olive oil, then wrap them into small pouches. Place the pouches on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until soft.
For the last 5 minutes, open the foil to let the garlic brown slightly. Let the garlic cool until it’s safe to handle.

Pop the garlic cloves out of their bulbs and place them in a small bowl. Mash the cloves with a fork, then add 6 tablespoons of room temperature butter and stir until well combined.

Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Use a serrated knife to slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise.
Evenly spread the garlic butter over the cut sides of both halves of the French bread, then sprinkle each half with 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese.
Shred 10 ounces of Monterey Jack or mozzarella cheese, divide it evenly between the two loaves, and sprinkle it across the bread halves. Broil for 5-8 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
Slice and serve. Enjoy!
