Delicious, easy cheese bread with roasted garlic!
Ingredients
Directions
Roasted garlic cheese bread is a delicious bread all-by-itself or with a marinara dipping sauce on the side. Serve this delicious bread with a big plate of your favorite pasta or a Caesar salad. Roasted garlic has a sweeter flavor than raw garlic and lends so much to this bread recipe and is so easy to make!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut whole garlic heads in half widthwise (see photo). Place the garlic on a sheet of aluminum foil (the dull side of aluminum foil is the non-stick side), 1 sheet per garlic head. Drizzle the garlic head with olive oil. Roll the foil up into little pouches and place on a baking sheet in the oven. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes. Open the foil packs up the last 5 minutes of baking time so that the garlic slightly browns. Allow garlic to cool to the touch.

Pop the garlic cloves out of thier bulbs and place them into a small bowl. Mash the garlic cloves with a fork. Add the room temperature butter to the mashed garlic and stir until combined.

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. With a serrated knife, cut the French bread loaf in half lengthwise. Divide the garlic butter between the two halves of French bread and spread the garlic butter on the cut side of the bread. Place the bread on the prepared baking sheet.

Preheat broiler. Sprinkle freshly grated parmesan cheese on both halves of the bread. Lightly toast the bread in the oven. French bread is a thick, soft bread so toasting the bread before the Monterey Jack cheese goes on will help make the bread a little crunchier. Bake until slightly golden.

Add shredded Monterey Jack cheese to the toasted bread. You can also use mozzarella cheese on this and a sprinkle of cheddar or any flavor combination you choose. Bake until cheese is melted.

Slice and serve.

Enjoy!
