Delicious beef patty, fried Spam with caramelized pineapple ring, lettuce, Pepper Jack cheese, Hawaiian sweet bread bun & Hawaiian BBQ sauce & mayonnaise.
Ingredients
Directions

Prepare ingredients. Slice Spam into 1/2-inch slices. Teriyaki sauce can also be used instead of BBQ sauce.

Form ground beef into 1/4-pound patties. Make an indention in the middle of the patty to help the meat to not puff up. Make the patties slightly larger than your buns so that when they shrink during cooking, your meat to bread ratio will still be perfect! Salt and pepper to taste, keeping in mind that the Spam is also on the burger and is a bit salty.

Preheat whatever device you are using to cook on, whether its griddle, pan or grill. Today I am using a griddle. Heat on medium high heat, then add non-stick cooking spray so the burgers don't stick. Add the burgers cooking for a few minutes without flipping them so that they get that yummy crust. Then add Spam slices to the griddle. Cook the Spam for a few minutes until desired doneness is reached.

Add pineapple cooking until slightly golden and juicy.

Add cheese slices to the burger patties and buns cut side down to the griddle. Cook until buns are toasted and cheese is melted.

Remove everything from the heat and assemble. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom bun, then add lettuce, burger patty next, Spam slice, pineapple slice and spread a generous amount of barbecue sauce on the top bun. Enjoy!
