Smoked Salmon California Rolls

    Directions

    Step1

    Make rice according to the packaging. I use sushi rice for this. The sushi rice is a very sticky small rice that holds together very well. Chill your rice after it's been prepared. Prepare your salmon then chill it also.

    Step2

    Prepare your vegetables. Peel and thinly slice cucumber, carrots and avocado. Thinly slice your cream cheese. Have your bamboo rolling mat ready to go.

    Step3

    Place your seaweed sheet shiny side down onto the rolling mat.

    Step4

    Add rice and pat it down. I use the back of a metal spatula for this. Leave one end (longways) free of rice so that it closes and lies flat.

    Step5

    Fill your California roll.

    Step6

    Carefully begin rolling your California roll up using the bamboo mat. Gently squeeze while rolling so that the rice molds everything together. Don't squeeze too hard because the seaweed sheet will tear.

    Step7

    Carefully slice your sushi rolls with a very sharp knife.

    Step8

    Serve with soy sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
