Use any good‑quality apple cider—or make it extra special with our homemade apple cider recipe. This recipe can be made with or without pan drippings. If you have drippings from your roasted turkey, they’ll add rich, savory depth.
Place ¼ cup of butter in a skillet over medium heat and let it melt completely, creating a rich base for your gravy.
Make the roux: Add ¼ cup of all‑purpose flour to the melted butter, whisking constantly for 1–2 minutes until a smooth roux forms. The mixture should turn lightly golden and smell nutty—this is the base that will thicken your gravy.
