Southern Pea Salad🫛

A delicious pea salad featuring ham, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, fresh dill, red onion, and tender peas, mixed with a creamy dressing.

    Directions

    Step1

    Bring water to a boil for 6 eggs. Once boiled, let the eggs cool before chopping.

    Step2

    Prepare the bacon to your liking, allow to cool.

    Step3

    Chop the eggs and bacon and place them in a large mixing bowl. Dice 1/2 of a red onion, 1 cup of cheddar cheese and 1 1/2 cups of ham, then add them to the bowl. Lastly, gently stir in 1 2/3 cups of thawed peas.

    Step4

    Make dressing. In a small bowl, stir together 1/4 cup of sour cream, 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 1/2 tablespoon of Dijon mustard and chopped fresh dill sprigs.

    Step5

    Add the dressing to the peas and meat mixture, stirring until combined.

    Step6

    Chill until ready to serve. Enjoy!
