Easy, robust baked beans with smoky bacon, Dijon mustard, dark brown sugar, and more are so easy to make! Perfect for Game Day, barbecues, and get‑togethers.
Ingredients
Directions
These Easy Baked Beans come together in just a few minutes, but the flavor tastes like you spent all afternoon on it. They get their delicious, robust flavor from smoky bacon and sweet dark brown sugar, tangy Dijon mustard, onions, and a splash of apple cider vinegar for a quick, no-hassle potluck dish that can be made ahead, enjoyed with family and friends, or just because you want a delicious side dish.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. You will need a 2-quart baking dish. In a large pot or skillet over medium heat, cook diced bacon for a few minutes until it begins to render its fat and brown. Add 1 diced onion and continue cooking until the onion softens and the bacon turns golden.
Add 40 ounces of pork and beans to the pot. I used Van Camp’s in tomato sauce because it gives the beans a creamy, delicious texture and flavor, but any brand will work — I’ve also used Campbell’s in the past with great results. Stir everything together until fully combined.
Next, add 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, and 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar. Stir until everything is fully combined.
Season the beans with salt and pepper to taste, stirring again until combined.
Spread the mixture into a 2‑quart baking dish. Bake at 350°F for 40–50 minutes, or until the beans are bubbling and the sauce has thickened.

Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Enjoy!
