Delicious, refreshing Mint Julep Lemonade.💚🍋
Ingredients
Directions
Mint Julep Lemonade is delicious, refreshing, and wonderfully easy to make. The classic mint julep dates back to the early 1800s, originally served in the American South as a cool, minty bourbon drink. And with my garden mint absolutely exploding right now, this lemonade twist is the perfect way to enjoy all those fresh leaves. It's perfect for porch sitting on a sunny afternoon.
Make the Simple Syrup. Add 5 cups of water and 1 1/2 cups of sugar to a medium saucepan. Heat just until it reaches a boil, then remove it from the heat.

Add 4 cups of mint leaves to the warm simple syrup. Press the leaves down so they’re fully submerged, then let the mixture steep for at least 2 hours. After steeping, wring out the mint leaves to extract as much flavor as possible. Strain the syrup through a fine‑mesh sieve if needed.
Juice lemons and add the juice to the mint syrup, stirring until combined.
Add ice, fresh mint leaves, and lemon slices to each glass, then pour in the Mint Julep Lemonade. Enjoy!🍋
